As of January 1, 2026, CIRO transitioned to an assessment-centric proficiency model to better evaluate the skills and performance of Investment Dealer Approved Persons. Firms are now adapting to this shift - navigating the new firm portal, integrating conduct training and exams into onboarding processes and supporting candidates throughout their exam journey.

Join representatives from CIRO, a Dealer Member and Legal for practical, experience-based discussion on why the model changed, how firms are operationalizing the new requirements and the early insights emerging across the industry. This session will offer clarity, practical insights and peer learnings to help firms confidently navigate and evolve alongside CIRO’s new proficiency framework.
